Agave's Tequila Night (on left) was bred to Tennessee Walking Stallion WHW Fully Automatic using Artificial Insemination. When she was examined a few days later, it was discovered she had two embryos that were fertilized. Mammoth Donkeys have a high occurrence of twins, but they usually do not survive. In cases like these, the other foal has a better chance of surviving in a mare than being transplanted into another donkey, however all of our mares were back in Virginia still! We were going to breed Dogwood's Black Dahlia (on right) so instead we used her as a surrogate. Not sure if she would take or not, we didn't announce her pregnancy until we knew for sure she was going to carry to term. I'm happy to announce the birth of two Tobiano Gaited Mules....
Dogwood's Autumn Rose (left) gave birth to a miniature version of herself the other week. Sorry for the late reply, we've been up to our elbows in babies - literally! On the right, we have Dogwood's Pippit, and her secret surprise foal. A Miniature Spotted Zonky! She might not stay very miniature, but only time will tell.
